1. Paulo Freire's work and concepts of education lead to building a foundation for what is now called CRITICAL PEDAGOGY which is a teaching for students to challenge and oppose domination and be free thinkers, resulting in freedom from oppression.

2.Paulo Freire was very optimistic man even in poverty, being imprisoned and being exiled. He is a world leader in the struggle for the liberation of the poorest of the poor. He helps men and women overcome their sense of powerlessness in order for them to survive.

3.He was a man of peace. Trying to make the world a better place for everyone but mostly those who need it the most, those under oppression and are very poor. He helps people exercise their freedom as a human being in order for them to live a better life. Upon his work, he was awarded the 1986 Prize for Education for Peace by UNESCO (United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization).
